Mogadishu, Somalia – The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has officially announced that the National Environment and Climate Change Summit 2025 will be held in Mogadishu on June 4–5.
The two-day summit will bring together government officials, climate experts, development partners, and civil society to discuss urgent environmental issues facing Somalia, including climate resilience, sustainable development, and green growth.
Officials say the summit aims to strengthen national dialogue, foster innovation, and build stronger coordination around Somalia’s environmental priorities and commitments under the National Transition Plan (NTP).
The ministry has called on stakeholders to prepare for active participation, noting that more details on the summit agenda will be released in the coming days.
