In December, the World Food Programme assisted 967,000 individuals across Somalia with 4,726 metric tons of food supplies and USD 11 million through cash aid. The school meals initiative supported 120,000 students with nutritious food that enhances educational outcomes and health. Local food procurement contributed approximately USD 800,000 to the local economy, supporting small-scale farmers and reinforcing regional agricultural networks.
