NAIROBI – A high-level meeting concerning the progress of the Barwaaqo Water Resilience and Rural Development Project has begun in Nairobi, Kenya, uniting delegates from the Federal Government of Somalia, Federal Member States, and the World Bank Task Team to enhance coordination and quicken project implementation.

A statement from the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development indicates that the three-day gathering centers on evaluating implementation progress, examining coordination mechanisms between partners, and tackling challenges and solutions concerning project delivery.

During his opening address, the Ministry’s Director General, Abdifatah Abdulkadir Farah (Abdifatah Hared), highlighted the necessity of continuous cooperation among implementing institutions and development partners to achieve measurable outcomes that enhance the living conditions of rural populations.

Attendees are examining the technical and operational aspects of the initiative, including financial management, procurement and contracting processes, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks, while striving to boost implementation efficiency according to set schedules.
