Somalia Humanitarian Operations – December 2025
The Somalia Logistics Cluster maintained essential humanitarian initiatives throughout December, serving as a primary logistics facilitator to ensure prompt delivery of critical relief supplies to inundated and inaccessible regions across Southwest, Jubaland, Galmudug, and Hirshabelle states. A total of 122 metric tons (286.6 m³) of vital goods were delivered via air and road to eleven (11) isolated locations, demonstrating the Cluster’s capacity to quickly access communities separated by insecurity, inadequate infrastructure, and periodic flooding.
• Concurrently, 201 metric tons of relief materials were strategically stored across Eight (08) key locations, enhancing supply chain durability and facilitating eight partner organizations in maintaining final delivery stages.
These activities highlight the Cluster’s comprehensive coverage, operational flexibility, and crucial function as a logistics facilitator, allowing partners to provide aid even when standard transportation pathways are obstructed. By addressing significant logistical challenges, the Cluster preserves humanitarian access and ensures vital assistance reaches the most at-risk populations.
